TYRE REPAIR

In case of a flat tyre, you must gradually slow down and come to a standstill on one side of the road. If you continue to drive, you can end up damaging your tyre and wheel or if travelling at speed be responsible for an accident. Most punctures, nail holes or cuts up to 6mm can be repaired by trained technicians, as long as the damage is confined to the tread.

A tyre must be thoroughly inspected before repair. The repair cannot go ahead if any of the conditions below are present:

Tread depth is below the legal limit of 1.6mm Compromised structural integrity Tread punctures are larger than 6mm Worn out, deteriorated rubber Any sign of previous faulty repairs

If you are uncertain about whether your car tyre should be repaired come and see one of our experts for advice.
